| who? o Im the lead guitarist at our church's badn now too so I HAVE to memorize the notes for the scales bad because I have to do alot of simple stuff and not hit the wrong notes | |

| Well, if you don't have a long time to memorize it all just play by shapes. I wouldn't encourage doing it often, but for now it would be fine. Just know your starting point and you'll be able to play around it. Like when I go to solo I don't go " OK, lets go G F D A G C D G C F C F C" I just go "Where's a good C note to start? Oh, here's one." and then I just play through the scale with runs and then maybe switch octaves or go to relative minor or something. | |
