Im getting tired of doing all the exersizes and I want to have some fun. Im also having trouble getting off the scales. my solos are starting to sound the same.

I have that problem. You don't have to play EXACT scale notes, you can have some Modal notes or even added notes. (Blues notes)

Blues notes are really just Chromatic notes added in between intervals.

The notes of a scale, to some extent. Like, 4th interval=fourth note= a 4th.

Like, if I was too say a 1-3-5-7-8 arpeggio in D, you would play the corresponding notes in the D major scale. (I made up that arpeggio by the way, I think it sounds good.)
